Review

A Frozen Flower is a movie that I think you can only honestly watch once. I will warn you do not watch this if you are under the age of 18, around loved ones, or someone you would not want to watch sex scenes. The movie has sex scenes and a lot of blood and violence. The acting was astounding. The actor for the king made you feel that love and passion for Hong Rim. Hong Rim’s actor made you feel that passion for the queen for he fall in love with her. The queen was a character you feel sorry for in the movie. She is married to a man that is entirely not interested in her at all for many reasons. The main reasons are she is female, and the king is already in love. I will say how the king and his guard meet is the standard time the movie takes place. However would not be acceptable in western and now, for it can be portrayed as the king is grooming his guard for the age is 7- 10-year-old taking care of the king who 13- 17 years old. So many people feel like Hong Rim was groomed, I see their point of view. I feel like if you look between the lines, you could see in the more adult time as Hong Rim having Stockholm syndrome in away but could be a loyal servant just doing as his king told him. The king’s word is law at that moment. However, the only way we could say that Hong Rim had been groomed or just complete loyal to his king is if we got more scenes with them growing up and see the relationship developed to what is their adult lives. But I do want to talk about the ending scene. In the scene, the king asked, did you ever love me? And Hong Rim says No, not at all. I do feel like Hong Rim was lying to do what he thinks he had to do at the moment. I mean, I can see Hong Rim being borderline Stockholm syndrome. Hong Rim being the most trusted loyal servant of the king, you are going to know things that little to no one would know. In the beginning, we know that the king and Hong Rim have a brotherly bond that grows to be sexual. You are going to be in love. I feel sorry for all three characters because all don’t get what they want at the end. Would you watch it again? No, the movie is alright, and acting is excellent. The film is about two and a half hours long and just stretched at moments and scenes that are not needed.

Review

The Black Devil and the White Prince is funny and straightforward. The movie has some severe and just humorous moments. I love the relationship between Yu and Meiko, where they communicate and are trustworthy to each other. I do think the primary guys’ relationship ending on a good note. I do like that you can see maturity with the characters, which is fantastic because most of the time the growth is little to none or just a whole new role created. I would say watch the two episodes series; first, it just give you more information on the characters. I did love the two background guy character; they add a little humor and realistic feeling to the story. I did enjoy the whole movie and the ending. I feel like, at times, there were yaoi moments between Haruto and Takumi. However, I have been watching a lot of BL series and films. My brain is probably still on that mindset. I feel like if they want to pull a plot twist on the audience, it would we find out that Haruto and Takumi are or become a couple. Or, Meiko and Yu become a couple and end with the school finding out but put a scene where the girls who pulled the trick on Yu find out that the Princes are unavailable. Would you watch it again? Most likely not because I was wary about this series because of the different opinions that I have seen on videos and wiki pages/review sites.

Review

Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey 2 is season 2 of Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey, and it is a mess. I’m going to start by saying for some reason I couldn’t pay attention to the relationship drama between Emma and Porsche. I really can’t tell you anything that was going on with between their scenes. I even struggled to watch the Pick and Rome scenes because it was just a drama f**k. I wish this had been thought out and written better, but they just wrote the main point while being drunk. They should not have put added drama with Emma and Porsche. They should have been like Pick and Rome were in the first season but together. I do have to say I’m just glad that Our Sky is happening so I can get more on Pick and Rome’s relationship. The ending is all right. Would you watch it again? I don’t know. I felt bored for most of it. However, I am the type of person who tortures themselves.

Review

Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey is very innocence with love. You have a boy who wants to have a club to help stray dogs and cats. The plot is at the right speed. The acting is above average, and I did like the process of how you see both couples fall in love. One pair is still on the fence of if they are a couple. However, it seems like they are closer to being a couple. Like most drama, there is a problem once the main couple gets close to revealing their feelings. I like how they do show what the club does to help animals. However, I think the main point of the theme is if you are going to face your fears do it in small steps and do it with the people you know. Would you watch it again? Yeah, it was, and the chemistry that the actors have with each other is fantastic. Since it is compact, I would recommend this to everyone.

Review

Dark Blue and Moonlight is just a roller coaster ride. It shows infinity and destiny that play in a relationship. The leading character/pair you are going to either hate or love. I think this show is more realize too how the world works. It shows the what-ifs of life. I will say I like the characters Yan Fei and Ping Jun. Yan Fei notices his relationship didn’t have the love and passion that they did before, so he broke up. Ping Jun is just another story. I feel like most viewers love him because he is a likable character. The acting was average, but the kisses and sex scenes were intense then I have seen in other BL series/movies. The central theme in this if you have to let them go and if they genuinely love you, they will come back. If you end at episode 12, you will have an open ending. However, they have made 3 or 4 additional episodes that take place three years later. Would you watch it again? Mostly not because it is a languid pace at the beginning. I started to struggle with watching this.

Method

Movie Summary

A veteran actor and an idol are starring together in a play called ‘Unchain’.
In the play, their characters become involved in a relationship and as they rehearse, the distance between reality and fiction starts to get blurry… (Source)

Review

Method is up to the audience on what they think is happening. It is hard to tell what is real and what is acting in the movie. The acting is impressive and something that needs more attention. Method is the type of film where you have to see it several times and still not know what the exact point of view that the writers are trying to get to the audience. I would read the comments on MyDramaList after watching it. The plot discussed, and you can hear the different point of views that the audience saw. Would you watch it again? Yeah, I like to see if I can notice anything I didn’t notice the first time watching this.

Review

Irresistible Love – Secret of the Valet starts by introducing the characters and how they meet. Xie Yan is a unique character where he has terrible qualities like being greedy and selfish but still have respect for his employees. He greedy about Shu Nian like a childhood teddy bear where you had it from your time as a baby and kept it with you even in adulthood. Shun Nian knows him, and that help Xie Yan realize his feelings. The movie follows your attention. I’m having trouble describing the film. Their relationship is unique and special that needs to be cherished for the rest of their lives. Would I watch it again? Oh yeah, it a movie that I pause through once. I have trouble viewing things alone because I get second-hand embarrassment or just too much fluff in one scene that I need to pause and take the fluff in spoon fulls, not the whole bottle. However, there is a part two; it can change my mind.
