Review

Oppressive Love is a movie based on ghosts and supernatural themes. I feel like this movie was a mess. It does have a Bl theme, but there is no process of how they got in their relationship. The acting was messy at time. It had good music for scenes. The plot was chopping and didn’t flow throughout the film. But this could be based on the fact that it was supposed to have a second movie but couldn’t due to China’s ban. I feel like the closer you find videos or TV shows that made, produce, or released close to the banned end up not having all the components that planed to have at the beginning of the plan. I don’t know if this is the truth or not or just something I have noticed about any Chinese movie or TV series made in 2016. Would you watch it again? No, the movie was a mess, and I felt like it was missing parts or just not connecting right.

After being in an intense bar fight, Ai Fei gets bitten by Thomas, a vampire, to save his life. Bite Fight is a movie that centers on vampires and love. I will warn that this movie is tough to find due to copyright complaints. I could only watch the cut version, and the cut part is still somewhere float on the internet. I think the only real way to find the cut scenes is to look at fanvids. This movie has an excellent plot summary and trailers, but when you finally watch the video, you see how badly made it was. This movie, I think, would do an excellent job of being remade. You can tell that the budget was small. I don’t know since this took during the year that China did it Gay banned if it just got piece together at the last moment or it lost its budget for the boy love themes. I just have a feeling that the trailer came out before the ban, and the crew had an ” Oh Shit ” moment when the ban got enforced. I will say this is not the best of the best. The acting is particularly terrible at parts, and the CGI is something you expected in the 20 century. However, having all this downward spiral of issues, it kept my attention. I wish this got remade to fix the problems that it had. It really could even go as a short tv series too if they pushed it. I think because it had plotted the kept your attention, and the plot summary is unique at the time, it does an excellent job of being a good movie. Would I watch it again? If I could find all the uncut and better clarity of this movie, oh yeah. The plot just had me, or I am still living my supernatural boy love for these kinds of TV series and films.

Review

The Black Devil and the White Prince is funny and straightforward. The movie has some severe and just humorous moments. I love the relationship between Yu and Meiko, where they communicate and are trustworthy to each other. I do think the primary guys’ relationship ending on a good note. I do like that you can see maturity with the characters, which is fantastic because most of the time the growth is little to none or just a whole new role created. I would say watch the two episodes series; first, it just give you more information on the characters. I did love the two background guy character; they add a little humor and realistic feeling to the story. I did enjoy the whole movie and the ending. I feel like, at times, there were yaoi moments between Haruto and Takumi. However, I have been watching a lot of BL series and films. My brain is probably still on that mindset. I feel like if they want to pull a plot twist on the audience, it would we find out that Haruto and Takumi are or become a couple. Or, Meiko and Yu become a couple and end with the school finding out but put a scene where the girls who pulled the trick on Yu find out that the Princes are unavailable. Would you watch it again? Most likely not because I was wary about this series because of the different opinions that I have seen on videos and wiki pages/review sites.

Buddy Children/The Brother has a weird summary for it, but I have seen FMV about so I gave it a chance. I enjoyed the movie for the most part. However, I was not too fond of the ending. The ending has the opening feeling to it. You know the type where you, the audience, decide on what happened. I feel like opening ending has that almost safe space for director and writers to use. However, it works for only certain movies and shows. I think they should have closed this up with a close cut ending.

I would say it border on bromance and bl (boy love). It’s a movie that can be confusing to anyone who doesn’t pay attention to the plot. I didn’t get bored. It had my attention the whole time. The movie reminds me of a low budget movie that you would see on like YouTube, Tumblr, and other video streaming sites. The actors were normal for the film. The movie does have some funny moments. The film gives me that feeling like it could have been a show with less than ten episodes from the plan plot. I think it gives it more development to the characters. The only reason I am saying this is there is a plot hole that if it had more time to explain it would help with the development with the main characters relationship. Buddy Children/The Brother is a movie I would love to see be remade to a short show or just developed more. I would most likely not watch it again for the feel that it gives off to me. It just gives me the feeling of this movie was made to be viewed only once, maybe five times in your life if you want to see what you didn’t catch the first or second time.

The Right Man – Because I Love You is a short film about the mother and son bond changing as the son grows up. The Right Man – Because I Love You show how coming out and hiding a massive secret from your family affects your relationships. Warning rapey scene and underage sex at the beginning. However, the theme is to show how parents need to trust their kids to be independent to establish adulthood. I would recommend watching this because it has sweet moments in it. Would I watch it again? Yeah, it short and charming to the point. It is about acceptance and young love.

The Right Man – Christmas Gift is just a 15-minute short film that is just pure fluff. It was excellent. The Right Man – Christmas Gift is kind of fast, but it sweet. I would recommend watching The Right Man – Christmas Gift if you need something short to entertain yourself. Would you watch it again? Yeah, it was cute and showed the love between these two.

Review

Warning rape and human trafficking is a central problem and topic in Cutter. I warn the audience to be wary when watching this film since it does have triggering themes. Eclipse/Cutter first off is difficult to describe. It starts precisely how the summary describes. The acting is severe throughout the whole film. It makes you think it based on a true story. However, from my knowledge that it is not. It sounds like something found on several reports that you hear from the news, articles, and so forth. The ending is quite bittersweet if you can get the message that the actors and writers were trying to get through without saying any words. Would you watch it again? I might if it come back to my attention. However, most likely not since it shows a rape scene that leaves a bad feeling in your stomach.

Continued from part 1, both Xie Yan and Shu Nian were still unable to deal with their feelings for each other, but Xie Yan realizes that Shu Nian is the one for him, but Shu Nian continues to hide from Xie Yan. Meanwhile, Ke Luo created a ruckus in the company’s dinner organized by Xie’s Holdings, but is saved by Shu Nian for the second time. Xie Yan is then sent overseas for a project, and Shu Nian and Ke Luo gets closer after celebrating Ke Luo’s birthday. Eventually, Ke Luo confessed his feelings to Shu Nian, who will soon be away to study, but the latter’s heart is still with Xie Yan. Xie Yan later breaks up with Jiang Yao, and Xie Yan’s mind confusion has an impact on his future fiance, Xia Jun. Xia Jun uses her crafty ideas to get to Xie Yan, but later Xie Yan tells Xia Jun that he has already gotten a new love and that the person is Shu Nian. Soon, Jiang Yao who is unable to deal with the breaking up with Xie Yan, engages some men to rape Shu Nian, but Xie Yan saves him. Later Xia Jun contracts food poisoning and is sent to the hospital. Shu Nian is later fired by Xie Yan’s father, after confessing to Xie Yan that he was the one who poisoned her. In the end, the medical report is produced, showing that Xia Jun’s food poisoning is due to the three cups of mocha that she had drunk hours before she was about to meet Shu Nian. Devastated that his father has sent Shu Nian away, Xie Yan’s relationship with his father sours, particularly since the older Xie already knew about the relationship between Xie Yan and Shu Nian. Review

Irresistible Love 2 is fantastic if you get the happy ending version. There is a scene that almost goes into rape, but the person realizes before he could get any clothes off that he was hurting the one he loves. All I can say is that Shu Nian needs to be protected. I feel like the characters were in love before they knew they were in love with each other. Irresistible Love 2 is charming and shows the flaws that Xie Yan has. It has a proper meaning where you realize your faults when you found true love. Would I watch it again? Yes but only the happy ending. I was not emotionally prepared for crying my eyes out for the sad end.

On the other hand, Jiang Yao, a ruthless and crafty girlfriend of Xie Yan starts to plot her revenge against Shu Nian after Xie Yan dumps her, as Jiang Yao found out a secret that involves a box full of photos of Xie Yan. Xie Yan is homophobic and doesn’t know that Shu Nian is gay, and to make matters worse, Shu Nian falls for Xie Yan, and Xie Yan manages to find out and asks him to leave. Irresistible Love – Secret of the Valet starts by introducing the characters and how they meet. Xie Yan is a unique character where he has terrible qualities like being greedy and selfish but still have respect for his employees. He greedy about Shu Nian like a childhood teddy bear where you had it from your time as a baby and kept it with you even in adulthood. Shun Nian knows him, and that help Xie Yan realize his feelings. The movie follows your attention. I’m having trouble describing the film. Their relationship is unique and special that needs to be cherished for the rest of their lives. Would I watch it again? Oh yeah, it a movie that I pause through once. I have trouble viewing things alone because I get second-hand embarrassment or just too much fluff in one scene that I need to pause and take the fluff in spoon fulls, not the whole bottle. However, there is a part two; it can change my mind.

Review

A Round Trip to Love was like this is what happens to lead up to this moment. It what establishes the “get to know the characters.” The beginning is a scene from the second movie. It shows how someone from an absolute wealth has to hide from family and friends. Lu Feng is a character that is very dominated and takes what he wants, which can cause a narrow line of consent to be cross. It does have concerning scene that I would advise the audience to be cautious about if you don’t like those time of theme and scenes. A Round Trip to Love feels like a pilot of a series. You know where you are trying to get to know the main plot of the series. The ending is a cliff-hanger because they came out with a part 2 for the movie. Would I watch it again? I feel like I don’t have enough information from the film to know if I can answer that question correctly and trustworthy.
