Movie Summary

A gay man, Min Soo and a lesbian, Hyo Jin are both promising doctors at a general hospital. The colleagues agree to marry so Hyo Jin can legally adopt a child with her lover of ten years Seo Yeong, and Min Soo can please his parents while maintaining his closeted lifestyle. While secretly living with their respective partners, who move in next door, Min Soo and Hyo Jin appear to be a happy, “normal” couple. They enjoy all the benefits afforded to heterosexual couples and are also able to ward off public scrutiny and parental disapproval. However, Min Soo’s intrusive parents begin to get a bit too involved with the couple’s life, threatening their scheme. (Source)

Review

Two Weddings And a Funeral is just the movie to enjoy if you like comedy and to have a sober plot/theme. The film held my attention from beginning to end. It shows to the western audience what the LGBT+ community sometimes has to do to satisfied their parents or get them off their backs about getting married. It shows how the LGBT+ community comes together as a family. I like how it had characters from both the gay and lesbian sides were acing as a family. I believe, like most of the time, when you have any movie with the LGBT+ community in it, they focus on one letter. But that doesn’t mean we got a lot of screen time from the lesbian couple; the main focus was the central gay couple. It still makes me smile to think about how the couple that got married acted more playful and cared with each other. The cast was wondrous with showing the emotions that the audience needs to feel. I will say that the actors/actresses weren’t the best at some moments, but they still got feelings for the scene. This film had several important messages throughout the whole thing. One of the biggest ones was that you couldn’t run away from your problems and face them. How they played out the main characters facing their issues of being outing was realist, sometimes something terrible has to happen to give you that push to make you suck it up and face it no matter the effects it will have on your life and others. The other theme or lesson based on the famous saying if you love someone, set them free. If they come back, they’re yours. The saying showed wholesomely once you understand where the character is coming from because of their past. The film is just something you can watch and learn from to apply to your life. Would you watch it again? I think most likely, yeah, because it made me laugh and smile most of the time. It just gave me that feeling of longing for a comfortable place to belong. Also, the ending is the best; it what I think how some straight people think a gay wedding goes. 2 out of 5 stars

After being in an intense bar fight, Ai Fei gets bitten by Thomas, a vampire, to save his life. While Thomas goes on the search for the ‘Vampire Bible’, so he is able to obtain a power to fix something that happened in the past. Unfortunately, he has to avoid demon hunters. Bite Fight is a movie that centers on vampires and love. I will warn that this movie is tough to find due to copyright complaints. I could only watch the cut version, and the cut part is still somewhere float on the internet. I think the only real way to find the cut scenes is to look at fanvids. This movie has an excellent plot summary and trailers, but when you finally watch the video, you see how badly made it was. This movie, I think, would do an excellent job of being remade. You can tell that the budget was small. I don’t know since this took during the year that China did it Gay banned if it just got piece together at the last moment or it lost its budget for the boy love themes. I just have a feeling that the trailer came out before the ban, and the crew had an ” Oh Shit ” moment when the ban got enforced. I will say this is not the best of the best. The acting is particularly terrible at parts, and the CGI is something you expected in the 20 century. However, having all this downward spiral of issues, it kept my attention. I wish this got remade to fix the problems that it had. It really could even go as a short tv series too if they pushed it. I think because it had plotted the kept your attention, and the plot summary is unique at the time, it does an excellent job of being a good movie. Would I watch it again? If I could find all the uncut and better clarity of this movie, oh yeah. The plot just had me, or I am still living my supernatural boy love for these kinds of TV series and films.

Ai No Kotodama is about Ootani and Tachibana, who have been boyfriends since high school. They happen to reunite with Yuki, a girl who is a friend of their high school years. I think Yuki was just someone who had a crush on Tachibana and just kind of a groupie of Ootani and Tachibana relationship because they are always together. Yuki kind of puts a wedge in Ootani and Tachibana’s relationship due to Ootani knowing that Yuki has a crush on Tachibana, his boyfriend, causing Ootani and Tachibana to fight, which like always has a lack of communication and hearing the other out. This film was not the best I have seen; it was alright. But I did like the scene where Tachibana and his friend are talking about what they love about their boyfriends; they say the thing people would think to be negative things that they love. It was different to see that. I am giving this movie a better rating only because I had to pause multiple times due to being interrupted, and I’m fighting some illness. Also, I did enjoy the character growth for Yuki to realize she wasn’t in love with Tachibana, but they want to have a romantic relationship like Ootani and Tachibana’s relationship. Would you watch it again? No, not really. The film felt rush for the plotline.

Review

The King and the Clown is a shocking masterpiece that takes a moment to process. This movie would not make in today’s world for the fact that the comedy style for the acts in dirty and sarcastic. The actors and actresses are what make you feel what the character is going through. The two main clowns/characters had a bond that is just something people wish for in their lives, the close friendship of that make you feel like they are brothers. However, they are not brothers by blood but by choice, which is why I’m glad that the two main characters are not romantically involved with each other. You do have to read between the lines for the boy love scenes in the movie because they show the bare minimum. I identify that the background of the king is something you would read in a history book. The king’s character is someone who had thing force or taken away from him that causes the person who he is today. He is out of control at scenes which make you fear him, but he pulls you back in with the soft unseen side of him that makes you feel sorry for him. The main two characters have moments too that make you feel for them. I won’t say what, for I fear to spoil it for anyone who wants to see it. But I can give you a hint with a sentence. As much as we don’t want to make sacrifices, someone one will have for things we need to live and express ourselves. The ending was not what I expected at all. The end is all from how the audience has seen it. Would I watch it again? I feel like it something I would watch again one or two more times but not something worth bingeing over and over again.

Cherries in Early Summer is a short web series made from short video clips and mostly pictures. The format reminds me of doujinshi with voice actors. Since the series is so short, they’re a lot of plot holes that make the audience guess on. The flow was good at moments but awkward moments where it’s rushed. However, it was enjoyable for me. I will warn the video quality is poor, and it talks about suicide. The last episode the sound comes in and out. The ending is open for the audience. Not everything explained in the series which causes you to be put off from it. I did enjoy the music and the acting. Its something I wouldn’t expect anyone to go oh this is my favorite. It’s something that you would say like oh yes I have seen it. It is okay.

Nevertheless, I can say it something you could watch to pass the time or take a break from a long series kind of like a refresher. Would you watch it again? Maybe but most likely not. Its something I would recommend to see once.

Warning this is a tearjerker. Rainbow Without Colours starts weird, but you should continue watching it because of it’s worth it. I want to thank the actors and actresses in Rainbow Without Colours for a fantastic job. I felt the emotions of the characters. Rainbow Without Colours is a movie that shows that you sometimes meet the middle ground for the ones you love. The father finds out, at first, I think he didn’t approve. However, he realizes that the older brother would them protest the young brother from anything. I think he slowly started to accept it. The sister realizes that they were in love, and separating them would cause them pain. Rainbow Without Colours is a massive example of how falling in love and losing our love can make someone go crazy. It also has the considerable theme of accepting your kids or family or friends for who they are and not trying to make a square fit in a triangle hole. It shows the problem with society. I mean, you don’t have to like two same-sex marriage. However, is your hate worth losing a person in your life? Would you watch this again? Yes, it made me think about what you should cherish in your life and accept people for who they are.

The Right Man – Christmas Gift is just a 15-minute short film that is just pure fluff. It was excellent. The Right Man – Christmas Gift is kind of fast, but it sweet. I would recommend watching The Right Man – Christmas Gift if you need something short to entertain yourself. Would you watch it again? Yeah, it was cute and showed the love between these two.

Senior Secret Love: Puppy Honey is very innocence with love. You have a boy who wants to have a club to help stray dogs and cats. The plot is at the right speed. The acting is above average, and I did like the process of how you see both couples fall in love. One pair is still on the fence of if they are a couple. However, it seems like they are closer to being a couple. Like most drama, there is a problem once the main couple gets close to revealing their feelings. I like how they do show what the club does to help animals. However, I think the main point of the theme is if you are going to face your fears do it in small steps and do it with the people you know. Would you watch it again? Yeah, it was, and the chemistry that the actors have with each other is fantastic. Since it is compact, I would recommend this to everyone.

Love Love You is the sequel to Love Coming. You must watch it first! You know this was going to be bad quick when you introduce your boyfriend as your neighbor. Most of the time, when you have a love triangle, you always hate the one who is breaking your ship. However, Sunz is the sweetest. There is some heartfelt moment between Gump and his mom. This movie theme is that communication is key to your relationship. I can see the symbolism that they were trying to show with the kiss between Nai and Bon. It is that Nai having old feelings reappear for Bon. When they kiss, he realizes that his affections for Gump are stronger. It also can be like this is the last kiss to close this old relationship that will never happen again. This scene does not mean I think doing this is the right thing. I do believe their friends are still funny. It was sweet that they still care for Gump and Nai relationship enough to help get them back together. Would I watch it again? Maybe if I was bored. I would recommend viewing both movies.
