Review

Ai No Kotodama is about Ootani and Tachibana, who have been boyfriends since high school. They happen to reunite with Yuki, a girl who is a friend of their high school years. I think Yuki was just someone who had a crush on Tachibana and just kind of a groupie of Ootani and Tachibana relationship because they are always together. Yuki kind of puts a wedge in Ootani and Tachibana’s relationship due to Ootani knowing that Yuki has a crush on Tachibana, his boyfriend, causing Ootani and Tachibana to fight, which like always has a lack of communication and hearing the other out. This film was not the best I have seen; it was alright. But I did like the scene where Tachibana and his friend are talking about what they love about their boyfriends; they say the thing people would think to be negative things that they love. It was different to see that. I am giving this movie a better rating only because I had to pause multiple times due to being interrupted, and I’m fighting some illness. Also, I did enjoy the character growth for Yuki to realize she wasn’t in love with Tachibana, but they want to have a romantic relationship like Ootani and Tachibana’s relationship. Would you watch it again? No, not really. The film felt rush for the plotline.

Review

The Black Devil and the White Prince is funny and straightforward. The movie has some severe and just humorous moments. I love the relationship between Yu and Meiko, where they communicate and are trustworthy to each other. I do think the primary guys’ relationship ending on a good note. I do like that you can see maturity with the characters, which is fantastic because most of the time the growth is little to none or just a whole new role created. I would say watch the two episodes series; first, it just give you more information on the characters. I did love the two background guy character; they add a little humor and realistic feeling to the story. I did enjoy the whole movie and the ending. I feel like, at times, there were yaoi moments between Haruto and Takumi. However, I have been watching a lot of BL series and films. My brain is probably still on that mindset. I feel like if they want to pull a plot twist on the audience, it would we find out that Haruto and Takumi are or become a couple. Or, Meiko and Yu become a couple and end with the school finding out but put a scene where the girls who pulled the trick on Yu find out that the Princes are unavailable. Would you watch it again? Most likely not because I was wary about this series because of the different opinions that I have seen on videos and wiki pages/review sites.

Review

Kurosaki-kun no Iinari ni Nante Naranai is comic series. Akahane Yu moves to a new school where she faces challenges like trying to push herself out of her shell by standing up to people, make friends, and getting a boyfriend. Akahane Yu does this for herself to build her self-esteem after being bullied in her past school. In the new school, Akahane Yu meets a set of boys who are long term friends. One is standoffish, cold, and strict, who Akahane Yu calls a demon or black devil whose name is Kurosaki Haruto. The other friend is charming and sweet, who Akahane Yu calls an angel or a white prince who called Shirakawa Takumi. The show deals with problems like what if two best friends like the same person, healthy relationships, and fear of what-ifs if you look closely at the plot. I do like the Akahane Yu for the reason that she tries her best to make friends and say what she’s thinking. Shirakawa Takumi and Kurosaki Haruto give me a weird feeling like the Shirakawa Takumi has a naughty side by play a fake relationship with Akahane Yu.
Nevertheless, Kurosaki Haruto is toxic by calling Akahane Yu his slave, forcing her to do chores and pushing her/ pulling her hair. But everyone puts walls to protect themselves. Some walls are just harder to break down. I hope that Shirakawa Takumi and Kurosaki Haruto friendship does get ruin by fighting over a girl. In a way, you want all characters to have a happy ending. Would you watch it again? I don’t know since there is a movie that takes place a month after the series. I have to wait and see.

Review

Seven Days: Friday – Sunday is the second part of the Seven Days movie series, and I feel like it ended on a sweet note. The movie has the overused plot pointer. The “they don’t communicate their feels which cause a disconnect.” The kisses have a lack of romantic feelings. However, you can look at it like this is their first real relationship which causes the whole am I doing this right feel. I want to say this movie has that innocent and first true love feeling to it. Their passion is what most people who want to fall in love want to have. Would I watch this again? Yes on a rainy day where I want to see the love between two people. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to feel a relationship in a short amount of time.

Part 2 of the Seven Day Movie Series

Seven Days: Monday – Thursday

Movie Summary

Bright and early one Monday morning, Shino Yuzuru asks Seryou Touji out on a lark when they run into each other at the school gate. Seryou, who’s immensely popular, has the odd habit of going out with anyone who asks him out first at the beginning of the week, then promptly dumping them at the end of it. “Anyone” apparently includes male upperclassmen like Shino, and as a boyfriend, Seryou is perfect–unfailingly thoughtful and kind. Shino, obviously, has no intention of being in a serious relationship with Seryou. (Source)

Review

Seven Days: Monday – Thursday is the first part of the Seven Day movie series. Seven Days: Monday – Thursday is a sweet and innocent movie that shows the emotional part of the relationship. You start to fall in love with the main couple in the film. The ending is a cliffhanger because there is a sequel. The one thing that the summary gets wrong is that Seryou is not the one doing the dumping it the girl he dates that drop him. Seryou does have some drama with his brother’s on and off again girlfriend. This movie showed in Seryou’s point of view of the relationship. You start to see him fall in love with Shino. Would you watch it again? Oh yeah, it shows more of the build-up of a relationship before doing physical things like kissing and holding hands. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to watch something that is more developed in a relationship. I would warn that the kiss is awkward.
